Here is some raw footage taken by a fan at Arsenal's first friendly with Barnet.

Barnet 0-4 Arsenal; Chamakh Plays For Half

Marouane Chamakh played his first match for Arsenal today, making an appearance in the second half:

Arsene Wenger had a few words about Marouane:

Arsène Wenger was happy with the contribution of his two new signings at Barnet on Saturday.

Centre back Laurent Koscielny played the first half and striker Marouane Chamakh the second as Arsenal romped to a 4-0 victory. Afterwards, their manager was satisfied with their debuts.
"Both new signings did well over the 45 minutes," he said. "Koscielny adjusted slowly to the required challenges in the air, and you could see Chamakh was very good at bringing players in. With our creative midfielders, that will be suited to our game."

Marouane Chamakh Visits His New Stadium

Marouane has been training hard with his new side Arsenal, but made his first trip to The Emirates to see the pitch he'll be lighting up next season.

So adorable!

So serious!

His hair sticking up is adorable!

Amazing smile!

Timeless...

I wish the EPL season would hurry up and start.  Tomorrow Marouane will don the red of Arsenal for the first time in a preseason friendly.

I Miss the EPL!!

I have to say that I am ready for the EPL season to begin.  I'm even more excited to see how Marouane will play with Arsenal.  He was very successful with Bordeaux and created a solid reputation for himself, but London is a new gig and he will have to produce early for the Gooner faithful to support him.
He has the support of Wenger and also Samir Nasri (as they've been hanging together recently).  He will need allies within a team, especially with a firebrand bigmouth like Gallas in the lockerroom.  His involvement in the recent WC scandal for France must not sit well with Wenger.  My advice would be to dump him now, as he's not important to the team anyway.

Here are a few pics of Marouane Chamakh on his first day with his new team.  Working closely with him is Samir Nasri, also a French Muslim.

This one makes me laugh...it's almost as if the coach is saying, "this is a ball." :)

Streettttcchhhhhh!

Samir and Marouane learning their dance moves for Britain's Got Talent! :)

I have to say that I'm annoyed with Arsenal.  Bordeaux never watermarked their photos.  Did they really think people will pay money for photos?  They are free on the internet!!!

I hope that Marouane's season is a success...except he can't score against United! :)
