Bacary Sagna celebrates Marouane's equalizer (Reina OG)

Marouane narrowly edged out Samir Nasri for Man of the Match vs. Liverpool.  Marouane had 24% of the vote, to Nasri's 22%.

Arsène Wenger says that Marouane Chamakh's late intervention at Anfield showed why he will be a Premier League success.

The Arsenal striker was well-marshalled for much of his competitive debut but showed great courage to challenge for a 50:50 ball with Pepe Reina when Tomas Rosicky swung a cross into the Liverpool box in stoppage time.
Chamakh's presence made all the difference: he was first to the ball, diverting it against the post before watching the rebound spill out of Reina's hands and into the net for a late equaliser.
Arsenal will score far prettier goals this season but, according to Wenger, the nature of Sunday's strike bodes well.
"Chamakh showed with the goal that he is not frightened to put his head and body in," said the manager.
"That is exactly what the League is all about and that is what we love here."
